When you cross a green squash with a pumpkin, what color will the offspring be for the next several generations (assuming that you keep crossing the progeny with greenies)?

As far as having a great true green squash? Highly unlikely

F1 ( pumpkin- Squash cross ) throws 100% pumpkins with recessive green genes. F2 offspring( selfing/sibbing the original cross ) splits into 25% greenies, 50% mixed genes and 25 % with complete pumkin genes, by colour you should have 25 % squash and 75 % pumpkins.
R2 ( backcrossing the F1 with a squash ) results in 50 % squash and 50% pumpkin looking with mixed genes for colour
If the original used pumpkin has some hidden squash genes, the rates for green offspring could be higher.
