I posted a couple pics in my diary but not sure if they showed up yet. Anyways, the blossom end of my squash is starting to lose it’s green color. The stem end which gets the morning sun is still nice and green. Would love to hear opinions on what to do to keep it from losing its green color and at what point is it not considered a greenie anymore? Getting really nervous as she has a decent chance at a PA state record. Thanks

looks like you got a squmpkin. the 2118 jutras seems to have alot of color issues. one of mine yellow white and the other is turning orange.

My 1807 Holub has been doing the same thing (same genetics). I think it's going to be considered a pumpkin.

Jay I have been watching that squash in your diary all year. I really liked the color on it. Too bad about the color change. That is frustrating.

A tip from Uncle Lar.....stop growing squamkins, AKA, (squash crossed with pumpkin), if you want nice greenie.....grow true green squash seeds only

My 2118 was perfectly green and on pace for 2000 pounds...but then got a BES. Boo.

I am planning on growing a 2015 Jutras 1445.5 DMG true green squash seed next year. It is 615 Cantrell X 996 Haist. I had an 1807 Holub growing and was my PB of pumpkins/squash. It turned into a squampkin and then went down with BES. GRRH.
