Joe Goetze from Pittsfield, Ma. weighed an 896 lb. squash at the Topsfield weighoff in 1999. Grown from an 815 Anderson seed it was a true squash, 100% dark green (and very rugged looking) I believe this squash put Joe in the top ten largest squash ever grown back in 1999, and still stands as the state record for a very fine grower.

Have you whittled down your squash choices for 04" yet Craig?

down to a few, they are all about the same genetically, so as usual it will depend on planting a lucky seed, grower experience, good weather, and a large dose of good luck in order to get a big one.
