Another question out of left field. I am trying to grow thin seeded selections. The only thin seeded one I have is the 1701 Jutras. If your squash is a 'thin seed coat' one please comment I would be interested in planting it. And if you have never seen the 'thin seed coat' gene in squash please comment... It would be interesting to know if it got recently introduced and how often it is showing up.

I don't know about squash but the thin seed coat is also a good indicator of big and orange.

Its common there and in the 1495 Stelts line i believe. It is recessive so its sneaky. Haist has a few 'thin seed' lines that are excellent... Wouldnt guess it from looking at the seeds some frankly look like duds but they sure arent they grow nice plants. Probably 50/50 that his latest big one is a thin seeder...
