I might plant one of my old 211est from 2009. It’s 1469 Checkon x 259.5* Welty. I’ll self it and see if I get a green one the following year. That 259.5* seed was from 1997 and has some top shelf squash genetics from the mid 90’s.

Going with a couple of my own genetic crosses that will bring the 2075 Connoly and 2036 Glasier into the squash.

I’ll be growing the 126.5Pierpont (genetic cross) again. (1264Pierpont 29%X 2118Jutras) I grew one last season. Unfortunately at pollination time I had vine rot. And lost the first ten feet of the main. Which stressed the plant and made for a late pollination. Pollinated on July 18 on 450sf and still got to 1306lb. No doubt in my mind with the right grower and climate it’s capable of one ton fruit.

Race, do you have a pic of your 126.5 Pierpont fruit?
I have that seed & I am all for big but I want to make sure that it is a dark enough green that it won’t be declared a punkin at a weighoff.
Doh, sometimes I am not that bright, it has just occurred to me that you must be Pierpont?

Race, what was the 126.5 cross?

The 126.5 is the *1264Pierpont(29%)X2118Jutras. Fruit was a genetics cross. My 1306 had good color. It was light color in the early stages. But in the the last month it colored in nicely.

I also like the *1264. I hope to get one and cross it with the *1362.5 Pugh. I like the *1362.5 because it was the only squash that consistently gave me 6 seg blossoms. Jim

Well Jim, how would you get a 1362.5 Pugh? I know that Bubba grew it to a 995 and selfed it.

I made a trade with Russ Pugh to get my 1362.5 seeds.

Patrick, I've got a couple of 853 Hefner seeds I could trade you. They are 996 Haist Selfed twice.

Coyote, I don't see them in the weighoffs- can you give me the details?

The Hefner 853 was an estimated weight. I can send you pictures of the seeds & bag. It was a 924 Jutras X Self. You can find the 924 Jutras on squash.giantstogrow.com. What is your email?

I believe Mr. Pugh may still have some. I have one and traded for a second as a back up. If you send out a request , you may get some offers hopefully. Jim

I personally don’t have any more 1264 seeds. The fruit only had 13 good seeds. And the 126.5 was a genetic cross with the last one I had. I believe I sent out about 8 or so to some of the squash growers. So it is possible one may be out there. Doubtful though.
