Way to go Jake, he grew a 1287 lb. monster from his own 1142 seed from last year. Not only did he break his own British Columbia record set last year with the 1142, but he did it with that seed!!
Pretty amazing results, pretty amazing grower.
Way to go Jake, you make all the BCers proud!!

Awesome Congrats to Jake! I think in the next few years B.C. could be setting a new world record! Thats a lot of numbers

I had a good feeling about the 958/1142. I tried the 958 but something chewed the tips off early in the season. Will have to try again!

It Doesn't seem to matter which seed Jake grows, they always turn up huge. Great location,lots of heat,good soil and allot of hard work has paid dividends for him. Another impressive weight. Congrats Jake

Thanks for the complements. This was the only pumpkin left from the four I started with. Even so,it was a very gratifying year. Now the planning starts for next season.
Brad, I'm very proud of my Dutch heritage even though I've lived in Canada for well over 50 years.
