The GVGO's 1st Grower's Seminar was a great success. We had over 40 members in attendance & 20 new growers for the afternoon's beginners session. I'd like to congratulate all of our Club Champions (Darrell Leonard-pumpkins, Bob Mackenzie-true green squash, Chris Lyons-long gourds, Jane Hunt-watermelons & John Lyons-tomato) for 2005 & wish all members good luck in their quest to become 2006 GVGO Champions. I'd also like to thank Russ Landry, Al Eaton, Chris Lyons & Arnold Vader for their help, Ann Vehallen (Soil & Crop Specialist) for driving 4 hours to speak to our group & to all the growers & people who donated door & raffle prizes. It was a very educational day. It was also very nice to see old friends & meet new ones. Jane & I also had the pleasure of having dinner with Todd Kline on Saturday night as well. Overall, it was a great way to start the growing season in Ontario.

Great job at organizing the day Phil and Jane. We learned a bunch of great stuff, that we are now passing on to the kids in the area. Thank you to the growers who talked to Ryan about growing his Pumpkin this year. Good Luck Growing!
