Growers in Ontario. Today's heat wave will be relieved by the passage of a cold front by Thursday afternoon. The Weather Network is calling for a 60% POP by thunderstorm on Thursday afternoon and evening.
Lower temperatures, bright sunshine and lower humidity will occur on Friday, August 3rd. Increased photosynthate on Friday could cause BES in fruit. Watering now extensively can help to reduce the chance of BES by increasing calcium uptake.
This only a watch. Should threatening conditions continue to develop this watch maybe upgraded to a warning. Take protective measures against BES now!!!!!
