I woke up this morning and thought I was having a nightmare. We have 14 inches of snow on the ground and its April 19th. Never in all my life have seen this much snow this late.

Dave, we got hit with a storm too but nothing like what you got nailed with...wow that is alot of snow for our parts at this time of the year.

Oh well, at least you have your cloche up and the heaters on....right?

Campbell River didn't get anything - the sun actually was out enough to fertilize and lime the lawn. We heard it was nasty south of us.

I shouldn't post this, but spring has been here for about two weeks now. As I type, it is 13 degrees, sunny, no wind. Yard work is all done, hoop houses built and in the patch. Today the temperature inside one of the hoop houses was 36 degrees.

It's usually the other way around, warm on the west coast and crappy in the maritimes. I'm gonna enjoy this while it lasts.

Not being smug Phil. Compared to the spring we had last year we deserve all the warm weather we can get. I just hope it lasts. My wife keeps telling me that we will have at least one more snowfall, I can't see it but who knows. As for secrets Phil, I'm not good enough to keep secrets, I'll take all the help I can get. Maybe see you in June if you make it here.

same snow in the interior too. I had to scramble and move all my plants back in the damn green house. Only got up to around 1 above today
