Last night a few of us got together in Berwick to discuss the possibility of establishing a Nova Scotia giant vegetable growers association. What does this mean? Well, if there is sufficient interest, this group would basically exist to help fellow growers out and to further the hobby/sport of growing giant vegetables, primarily but not limited to Atlantic Giants. There are a lot of growers in N.S. ranging from novice to advanced. A local association could benefit it's members through knowledge sharing, soil tests, expert advice and lots more. The purpose of this post is to see if there are growers out there who would be interested in being part of such a group. Last evening, six of us met over coffee at Tim Hortons for about an hour or so. We exchanged ideas, traded a few seeds and planned for next season. For me, this can only improve my chances of becoming a better grower.
If this is something that interests you, or if you have any questions, please send an e-mail to;
