It's that time of year again for our 2nd Annual Fundraising Raffle.

This year we decided to mostly offer seeds that have proven to grow pumpkins or squash over 1000#. There are a couple unproven seeds from our member's pumpkins, but 95% of the seeds are proven winners.

We are still acceping donations and adding seeds so check back often to see additions.
Last year, every ticket won at least one seed, so here is a great chance at some proven genetics.

Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Draw will run from November 15, 2006 until December 31, 2006. Draw will be held on Jan. 6, 2007 to allow for any entries sent in on the last day. The PEC 4-H Club will draw the tickets.

I would like to thank John Vincent (GVGO Eastern Regin Rep & Co-Chairman Seed Raffle) & Phil Joynson (VP GVGO & Co-Chairman Seed Raffle) for putting together this year's GVGO Seed Raffle. I'd also like to thank all our members for this year's seed donations & especially like to thank GVGO Member Al Eaton for his large seed donation. As some of you know, Al Eaton has decide to retire from growing giant pumpkins & has set his sights on Long Gourds for the next few years. In typical Eaton fashion he decided to donate most of his best seeds to the GVGO for our fundraising efforts, so you can be sure the seeds your buying tickets for are original. Some packages had multiple seeds in it, so we separated them & packaged them in our own packaging. All proceeds go towards purchase of the GVGO end-of-season Growers Awards, Club Contests, Grower's Seminar, Patch Tour & to help with the promotion our sport/hobby to anyone who's interested in growing.
