What is the best way to post the lots? We ran into some problems last year . It seems when I cut and paste off of Microsoft word or note pad, only a couple of words from the posting lot appear. How do other clubs posted their lots?
Thanks

They post a little at a time.

Thanks!

George I just cut and past from Microsoft word or excel. Some times the tabs and spacing can is messed up and I have to delete spaces before clicking on the "post" button, but other than that I haven't had problems. I also do what jordan said, just post 2 or 3 lots a time.
sorry i'm not of more help.

Are you talking about posting in the chat window during the auction? One thing I noticed, when running Firefox vs. IE, there are subtle differences between the two when running chat. So you might try experimenting with each.

It Helps. I figured out you can only cut and paste a single line. In note pad you can string together a longer line, then cut and paste the whole thing.
Thanks

Hey George whats worked for me from a word doc. is no double spacing. you can cut and paste as long as you like. ex. 869 Calai 99 [801 Stelts 97 x 876.5 Lloyd 96] Not very many, old school orange genetics. Produced the Langevin 955 one of the most beautiful of all time [See the cover of How to Grow III] NO double space peter

George, I do exactly as Peter said, no double spacing, Chat cannot handle pasting seperate lines, and it will only paste up to 4 lines of text.
Posting a little at a time is a waste of time.

Ditto Peter & George.

Here's a tip:

Go to one of the chat rooms a few days before. Get the lines arranged in WORD as you would like them to appear.

Copy & Paste lines into an empty chatroom to see how they look.

I jump out after a few test lines just in case someone sees me in there & thinks I'm in the mood for chatting.

Modify the text lines in advance of the auction so you have a feel for what will fit.

I did test runs yesterday. I figured out to the letter how many I could cut and paste at one time. I sent the new document to the guy's who will be doing the cutting and pasting. We should be fine. Thanks for the advice.
