Idea: Time-Limit-Auction A Stopwatch is posted on the auction site The club puts the seeds for auction into categories like 1, 2 or 3 minutes. The first bidder with highest bid at the end of the time limit buys seed. (maybe either at that price or $5 more than the second highest bid)-Ex... I bid $40, next highest bid was $25, I get seed for $30 All bidding processes would stay the same. The suspense of who won the bid is a last second highlight. I would think a lot of unproven seeds could be obtained at bargain prices for growers in the 1 minute auctions. The 1385 type seeds would be given more time to bid up their value, but when the clock ticks it's last tick the seed is sold! (the auctioneer would have the ability to start/stop the timer for necessary reasons), clock starts on first bid This may not even be possible to do, but I often wait until the last second to put in my highest bid on ebay and sometimes it gets pretty exciting to see the results. If this intrigues anyone, feel free to explore the possibilities. John
