the Illinois Giant Pumpkin Growers Association have both the 1209 Shenoha 2010 and 1493 Shenoha 2010 seeds on sale. the prices are very reasonable. both crosses will be sold at 2 seeds for $10. all proceeds will go towards the igpga monsters of the midway weigh off prize money. we will be requiring that purchasers supply us a self addressed stamped bubble pack along with the money so all we have to do is drop in the packs and send on the way and not have to pay for the bubbles and postage. it's a fair price for some nice crosses, and for 20 bucks and a self addressed stamped bubble pack, a grower could have 2 of each the 1209 and 1493 shenoha seeds for their collection. we feel this is reasonable and anything to help the club and the weigh off is cool by me. anyone interested in this offer can email me at shazzyshaz@aol.com if you have any questions. i have started a list and 200 of each crosses will go to first come first serve. they will be sold only in packs of 2, so there will be 100 packs of each cross with 2 seeds in the envelopes available until they are gone.
the crosses again are--- #1 cross---1209 shenoha 2010 that went 20% heavy. it is the 873 naylor 2009 x the 991 urena pollintor plant that produced the 1493. the 873 is not listed on the aggc but it is the 1147 shenoha x 1119 mcmullen and both the 873 pumpkin and 1119 pollinator plant's pumpkins went 24% heavy.
#2 cross. 1493 shenoha 2010. 991 urena x self
if you email me in regards to this, please title the email "SEED SALE REQUEST" so i can put you on the list and then tell me specifically which ones and how many packets you need. remember, 2 seeds per packet for each at 10 bucks per packet. limit of 5 packets (or 10 seeds) of either seed cross per bubble. if you order 5 packets of each, please place at least 4 stamps on your bubble pack. thanks and best of luck in 2011 from the IGPGA.

So you all don't want anyone outside of the USA ordering seeds then?

thanks for making me think for a second phil. if anyone outisde the usa wants to order seeds, then just place the amount of money it takes top ship a bubble pack to your address and i will buy the usa postage stamps to place on the bubble. does this sound right? never meant to not include anyone and sorry if that was inferred in my above post. our point of keeping the seed prices low is so we do not have to spend too much time at the post office with everyone supplying there own self addressed stamped bubbles. we will be happy to work with any growers outside the usa to get them the seeds whichever way works best. this can all be handled with an email or just call me on my cell at 815 483 5552 and we can talk it through. thanks phil.

Hi Shazzy, glad you haven't taken my post the wrong way, can you give us an idea of how much in $ US the bubbles would cost? Thanks Phil

it's all good phil. i imagine 3 stamps will do it for smaller orders and 4 usa stamps for larger orders. so lets say $1.50 for smaller orders and 2 bucks for larger orders to make it easy.

Here is a link to the USPS postal rate calculator ( http://www.usps.com/tools/calculatepostage/welcome.htm ) -- just select calculate international postage - select your country in the drop down box and select package (since it is too thick to be considered a letter due to the bubble) and to be safe select 3 OZ. (usually will be less than 2 ounces but to be safe I'd err on the heavy side!) - and you can see the postal rates -- For Example: First Class International Package weighing under 3 ounces to Nova Scotia and valued under $400.00 is $1.75

$1.22 for a 6x9 bubble pack. Inside an envelope 7 1/2 x 9 1/2 is $1.05. Its crazy but a bubble is considered a packed since it has height and an edge to it.
