Not So Silent Auction for a 1725 Harp seed with proceeds to go directly to a College Fund for Blaine Harp.
I was the lucky winner of the Guess the Baby Weight Contest and won this 1725 seed. Christy and Nick are a fine young couple and I would like to turn my good fortune of winning this seed into something good for them and Blaine.
With a daughter currently in College, my wife and I know the importance of planning in advance for the day that College or higher education calls.
This may be your last chance in 2010 to obtain this proven monster growing seed.
Do something nice for yourself at Christmas and buy this seed....By doing that you are doing something nice for someone else!
BID HERE ON THIS THREAD, $5 INCREMENTS. PAYMENT BY CHEQUE OR MONEY ORDER. ENDS DECEMBER 15th, 2010 MIDNIGHT BIGPUMPKINS.COM TIME.

thanks so much, north shore! the guess the baby contest was ron barker's idea (super fun at that) and glenn is being VERY generous with his "winnings". i think college will probably cost 1 million dollars per semester by time 2028 rolls around so we already put our $$ from selling pumpkins this year into a college saver account. next year, we have to plant the whole field to try and sell for the same purpose. THANKS SO MUCH EVERYBODY!!

I don't want the seed but Christy was very generous to me at the beginning of the year. Is there somewhere I can just send some money for the fund?

OK..but since this silent auction is not over yet...anyone still wanting the great 1725 Harp has until December 15th at midnight to continue the bidding here.
We are currently at $210 to Big City Grower.
This seed is consistantly garnering $225 to $300 at club auctions so is still a bargain at this price if someone is looking to buy and grow the 1725 Harp.
Don't miss out....this might be one of your last chances to get and grow this sought after seed.
Regards/Glenn
