**LOT # 2 Some OLD seeds from Ron Bowers. From my conversations with Mr. Bright, the 148 seed from 1999 could be the parent of the 157 Bright. His packs have no parentage information on any of them. 166.7 Bowers '95 2 seeds 140 Bowers '98 3 seeds 178 Bowers '98 3 seeds 148 Bowers '99 POSSIBLY 157 Bright Parent? 10 seeds

No they have not. Stored indoors of course, in a box in my closet all these years. I have heard gibberellic acid helps germinating old seeds and I plan to try it if I start any of the older seeds. Lloyd Bright uses it on older seeds also.

Here is what a well know grower just said about this lot... "If the 148 Bowers in Lot 2 will germinate, they will be excellent because they are proven seeds. The year Ronald brought me some of the 148 seeds, he grew from the 148 two melons in the 250 pound range that were not officially weighed."

Well of course, there's always a "if" on old seeds. That's why there is 10 seeds to hopefully increase the odds...
