Penny a pound,Have people pledge a penny a pound to your biggest kin or melon this year,or 2 cents,a nickel if they like.You have all season to get friends,family,whoever to raise money for your favorite charity,You could do a 50/50 split with Club.Have a contest within Club to see who will get the most pledges.Give the winner of the contest a hot seed say a 239 or a 1161 a free membership.A club could raise a lot of money with a little effort from each member.Lets go Folks.Clubs aint dying, we aint trying!!!!Grow'em Gig!!!Please post fund raising ideas below!

Any other Ideas,Like give a Sponsor,like a Car dealership.or Vegtable Market,a1000- 1400 pd kin to set in store every season as part of there sponsorship.You could get more from them with the a shiny kin, as a carrot!!lol Sharing ideas will go along ways,somebody will put a twist on your suggestion then BOOM, the skys the limit.Grow'em Gig!!

Guarantee What? The kin to sponsor? Have several growers in your Club commit to donating a large kin to Sponsor!Keep it real,you tell sponsor,weather permitting,or they get one the following year.

Growing "Prizewinners" for multiple sponsors might be a better idea. They're easier to grow and still are "big" pumpkins to many people.

But I like your idea.

Great idea to help sponsors out with something to catch their customers eye..

Crazy that there has to be so much money involved for prizes etc. in the first place.....makes a whole lot of work for a whole lot of people.....just sayin'.

Its really not hard to sell kins or find sponsors! you just have to keep at it,you get 10 rejections for every interested one,but its worth it in the end.Some people see the crowd & buzz the kins & melons create,others dont get it,they will look at you like your an alien.Thats ok sometimes I am out of this world.I eat rejection for breakfast as my wife kicks me to the driveway.LOL
