I'm pretty sure the $5 is for Minimum increments, as is with all auctions, there is no rule on Maximum increments as far a I know, correct me if I'm wrong.

BPMailey is right,the $5 rule is only for a minimum bid. You can bid as hight as you want. You set the rule on the maximum.
