Is it 2010 seeds or 1810 seeds? Only a few 1810 seeds germinated in 2011 and 19 pumpkins used 1810 pollen, that tells me a lot of pollen was shared. Did I miss something?

Curt, could you please explain more about the disease you are speaking of? I have some seeds that have 1810 in their background so I am curious to get your thoughts.
Thank you, Mark G.

OK, after reading more closely and actually getting my brain back to thinking pumpkins I see what you are saying Curt. I'm sorry if you felt misled in anyway as that was certainly never the intent.
This is going to sound real bad, but I acually can't remember the precise count of growable seeds in the 1810, but I threw all the bad seeds out right off the bat.
I have currently have 2 left. One is labeled #4 and the other I have labeled as 23-. That - means its a light seed and if memoy serves I had another with (2) of the -- so I'm thinking I kept 24 seeds. So there weren't 10 there were something like 24-26 growable seeds. I know Joe Ailts grew the -- seed and it was a sterile plant. I think there were about +- 5 others that were sterile.
I'm thinking only abou 3 1810's have made it to the scale.
There were about 150 seeds in 1468 exactly 26 of which were very light. I believe I actually posess about 30 of those for the time being.
Again sorry if there was ever any sort of doubt to he actual seed count. I thought we did a pretty good job of remaining pretty transparent.

1810 seems to come back strong second generation. Some of the big offspring out of the 1789 wallace didnt look like mom.Barry t had a giant going (here in colorado) that looked like the 1810 pollinator grown on his cross.
