We have been making houseplant tea for two winters now with excellent results. Then we cheat just a tiny bit. This is an evolution. We started with only the first three items, in a one half gallon jar.

1. Two tablespoons full of worm casts in a ho- made tea bag
2. One teaspoon full of dehydrated kelp.
3. One teaspoon full of blood meal.

We evolved by adding to the above:

4. The amount of black strap molasses that will
stick to a half inch length of pencil.
5. One teaspoon full of Humic Acid. 12%

We shake it up each of three or four days and water with it the first week in each month. This is, to say, we dilute the above, to the aproximate watering need, of our house plants. Thinking average we feed sixteen plants is six inch pots. We feed nothing the months of January and February due to short days that are generally thought, to be a rest period, for house plants. Our plants have never looked better.

Sir: Please e mail me { jeffbl5@houston.rr.com } the plans for your homemade brewer.I'm new to compost tea. I can't afford the systems that are available online. Yesterday I set up my 5 gallon system and I'm afraid it can't compare to yours. I live in Houston, Texas. I have a small yard and a small garden.I am obsessed with this compost tea thing. I've read books and everything online. I think I'll be relieved if I can put your system together. Thanks a microbe.
