Went to a Home and Garden Expo and came across a booth hosted by the Oregon State Extension Service. They were handing out compost tea and plans for do it yourselfers. I had a good talk with them about the product this plan puts out. They said it all depends on the quality of the ingredients going in and degree of aeration thru the tea, and since this is a home built brewer it will vary. They did say that they had been using the tea from this particular brewer for years with great results.

This looks really neat Thad. I think I will build on myself this year, but may adapt it to a 45 gallon drum.

What are people using for air pumps?

On the back of directions is a supplies section. They had the 50 watt air pump, and said it provided plenty of air. They had a batch brewing for the show, and it was really rolling and moving.
I want to adapt it to a 50 gal drum too. I might use my soil soup agitator also, just be sure there is enough air saturation

I guess the key to these tea's is to use them up quickly so I guess a smaller brewer is better.

One of the most important considerations in design is the ability to break it down after use for cleaning. If any of you would like to see a design with excellent production and ease of cleaning send me an E. What you will see is a design that breaks down and sets up in less than a minute yet produces from five gallons to forty gallons in eighteen hours at seventy six degrees. The cost of materials works out to be less than fifty bucks and yet less than that if two or three are made at a time. I use pictures and written instuctions. Figure two hours to make it. I've used this design for four years with not a single failure.

Someone suggested I should have sold these plans. Geese I might have if they were mine to sell. This brewer is a well proven brewer that is now off the market. There may have been rights held by others even though it has been renamed and greatly increased in price.
The only thing that is mine is the two bolts in the screen clamp and the suggestion that a one inch bridge be designed into the screened outlet area. Any attempt beyond these two simple adjustments would be like trying to reinvent the wheel. This simple brewer works better than most and costs pennies to guild and operate while being easy to clean after each use. The care and feeding of this brewer is shown on the North Country Organics web site as well as the test results showing proven test results. They also have boosters and minerals you may elect to use while you learn the business the right way the first time.

AS OF THIS POST I NOW ASK YOU TO HELP EACH OTHER. All of the above will recieve the plans as requested. The Wiz will be going on with his development of his brewere in his diary and others should follow.

NO MORE REQUESTS PLEASE. It is now time for you all to network and help each other.

Someone counted twenty five requests. That guys is just what you see. I am now fielding response to nearly twice that many plus all the chit chat that would be considered normal with high E traffic. All basic facts are in the plans. Please read carefully before asking what size the pipe should be. If those plans do not make sense you maybe should not try and build one without someone helping who can see the plan working.
