I HAVE JUST COMPLETED THE OSU COMPOST TEA BREWER USING A 35 GALOON GARBAGE CAN. IT IS SET UP FOR 1/2 INCH HOSE. I NEED HELP WITH THE AIR PUMP. THE PLANS CALL FOR 50 WATT AIR PUMP. TO TEST THE SYSTEM I USED A CHEAP ELECTRIC PUMP FOR INFLATABLES. IT PUTS OUT AIR BUT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR CONTINUOUS OPERATION. ANY ADVICE ON AIR PUMPS THAT CAN BE CONNECTED TO APPROX 1/2 INCH LINE, REASONABLY QUIET, AND CAN RUN FOR 24 HOURS. WEB SURFING ALL I CAN FIND IS PUMPS IN THE 80 TO 120 DOLLAR RANGE. a SMALL FAN LIKE USED IN THE GERMINATION BOX WOULD PROBABLY SUPPLY THE AIR BUT WOULD NEED A HOUSING BUILT.

I am having good luck using a cheep 1.25 horse wet/dry shop vac as an air pump. It is a little noisy, but I run it outside and hope the neighbors don't complain
