Let's say I just brewed a great Compost Tea and I'm getting ready to apply it to the patch. Could I keep part of the brew to inoculate the next batch instead of compost? Pros?.....Cons? Thanks for advice, John

John,
You could try it if you had a microscope. At the end of a long brewing cycle (36 hours+), you'll have increased flagellate growth, which a small amount could then be put back into your next batch if done immediately. I wouldn't consider this an adequate starter material, you would want to still use a good compost and add additional foods. It would be important to look at what you're putting back into the brewer from your last batch because every compost tea will be slightly different since we're dealing with live biology. Assuming you brewed a great aerobic compost tea, it would not be an issue to put some of it back into your next batch.
