Most recipes for compost tea calls for the addition of humic acid 10-12%, I have soluable humic that is 85-90%, should I dilute to 10% or use as is? Thanks Croley Bend

Croley,
The stuff we use is 85-90%
What size is your brewer, I can give you rates based on the amount of gallons your using.
Do you plan on using it as part of your recipe, or are you adding it after the brew is completed?

Hi Tad, My brewer is 5 gallons and I usually add it during the process, but sometimes after. Any advise is welcomed.

Tad - Could you also give the rate of your 90% for a 40 gallon brew. I use it as part of the recipe. Thanks

I want to qualify my recommendations by saying that we use it in conjunction with our "foods" as an optional additive at the beginning of the brewing cycle. I can post rates for how much to add after you're done brewing as well if you're interested.
In a 5 gal. brewer, I'd add 1/2 T. at the beginning of the brew cycle. In a 40 gal. brewer, you're looking at around 1/3 c.

I have been adding 1 cup to 40 gal. Is that to much?
