Have been trying different ideas for a tea brewer and was wondering if a submersible pump would sufficiently aerate the tea. pump flow is 50 liters minute and brewer would be 90-100 liters. the flow of water into the brewer provides some level of aeration and circulation but without an dissolved oxygen meter how else do I tell if its effective?

Bluebanjo, you could probably brew a bacterial tea (and I wouldn't add much in the way of foods), but these pumps would shred the fungi and larger organisms over time, that's why an air pump is so beneficial (besides raising dissolved oxygen levels).

Thanks Tad12, Air pump sounds the go after all. I would prefer to have as diverse range of microbes as possible. I was just experimenting with what I had and thought I would ask. I also noticed the pump raises the temp pretty high.
