That makes no sense. Those products are intended to kill bacteria and fungi.

I saw that same youtube, I spoke to the Utah Extension County agent on it and he said you are welcome to use it, but it will kill everything in it.

Richard, can I call you Dick? Go through the motions of brewing a quality batch. You have your compost, your aerator, mixed with a little humic, molasses and BLEACH or PEROXIDE. No I don't think so. We use peroxide as a disinfectant and bleach as a kill all. Sounds more like an organic"ish" roundup to me.

its quite simple: buy a Keep it Simple brewer with the tea bags and food, keep it clean, and put awesome quality compost tea on your patch every week or two. It costs less than most of your fertilizers i promise. I'm not endorsed by KIS, I'm just saying it works! Jim

You can call me Dick, Rick, Rich, Richard. I like to watch the video by Bountea at there web site, everything he grows is big. I was just going on google and youtube looking for anything that had to do with compost tea, recipes, seen hydrogen peroxide and bleach in a recipe and was curious to see if anybody used it.

I enjoyed watching the bountea video featuring John Evans, but that isn't CT. I have heard of peroxide being used in small amounts to increase oxygen levels in the soil but I wouldn't use it as an ingredient in CT.

I have also heard of people using it because it breaks down into a water and an oxygen molecule, but in order for this to occur it needs to oxide and this process kills microorganisms which is why we can use it as a disinfectant.

Personally it makes no sense to me, and I have yet to see any real research to support it.

There may be some limited use in a hydro setup involving a reservoir, where a small amount could be used without hurting the plants but also killing off any bad bacteria.

Other than that though, I would only recommend using it to clean your brewer.

I think H2O2 has some
