I was just contacted by a grower in Northern Russia wanting to try growing a giant pumpkin and looking for seeds.
Apparently the seeds aren't available there. I'm more than willing to try to get him some, but I wanted to be sure it wasn't a mass mailing and 50 other growers are now tying to figure out how to get seeds to Russia.

Nicolai? Grew a 53kg fruit in the NW of russia last year? The SCGA successfully sent him seeds last year and he reached out recently to request seeds again. We'll get some on their way.

I would suggest to him to try and get ahold of this fellow. Might give him a person to mentor him and a fellow hobbyist.

That's him. I'll let him know the SCGA will be sending seeds, and I'll send a few myself.I'll let him know about "Reckless", too.
And Bubba, good idea if it was spring, but last week it was -42 and currently -26. Not good boating weather, especially trying to paddle a 500# pumpkin boat in rough seas.
