What's the average number of days from transplant to pollination, assuming a 2-3 week old plant at planting time?
Is 25-30 days about right?

Thanks Andy. So somewhere north or south of 50 days. I'm in S.E. PA, so maybe I'll go a week earlier than your schedule. I remember you saying that your last year schedule was a little risky based on possible bad weather. Seems like it was worth the risk. I can deal with the cold using cables and heat lamps. Around here, until the farm crops are up it's the wind that get tuff.

Max 2 weeks in a pot and then figure 2 months in the ground. Good rules of thumb for the 1 gallon pot size. I agree with Andy's Pumpkin Growing 202 the window for the 1 gallon pots is narrow about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks... after that you are potbound. So thats a narrow optimal window. A real test of your 14 day weather forcasting skills!

Shannon is correct. Its 10 days if you start with vigorous seed. Older seeds push it out to 14 days. In my experience. I'll shut up now.
