On Sunday Oct 2nd will be the first annual Carpinito Brothers Weigh-off in Kent, Washington, between Seattle and Tacoma. They have offered a very generous prize schedule of 6 thousand, 3 thousand, 2 thousand, 1.5 thousand and 1 thousand for the top five pumpkins/squash. They also have awards for 6th place down to 20th place.
Registration is from 8am to 10am, weighing to follow.
PLEASE NOTE: The address on the GPC web site is incorrect. The weigh off will be at 27508 West Valley Highway N, Kent, WA 98032.
If any out-of-towners wish to drop off their pumpkin the evening before, contact Lee at reptile@whidbey.net to help set things up.

The top five will stay.
Please note, squash and pumpkins will be weighed together. If a squash is the second biggest at the event, it will be awarded the 3K prize and the green plaque. Ribbons for pumpkins will be shifted down accordingly. A great opportunity for squash growers.

I have prior obligations on Sunday but I would be able to drop off my pumpkin the night before. Do we need to be present to be eligible for prize money?
