This year I bought some pink Miracle Grow for Vegetables. Planning to water with it at about 30% of the recommended dose . Anyone using this stuff or something like it to feed plants?

Well, 'glad' it's Miracle-Gro... I have been 'known' to myself to use MG 24-8-16 at 2X and sprout seeds right INTO that concentration (4 X was TOO much) but leaning AWAY from recommended OR 'too much' makes no sense, with us being 'giant' growers. Maybe 3X would be best...I'll bet the concentration CAN be 2X to 3X, butt they wanna protect their claim that it will not burn plants when used as directed, which makes PERFECT sense. That plant that I sprouted INTO 2X MG was bigger, thicker, stronger, etc. than the other 2 or 3 of its same exact brethren at planting time:
Gerry Seed Z '18 (1385 Howell/Jolivette X 1585 Werner); It is in a crappy spot and needs more 1X MG, lol---Honestly, tomorrow is better-late-than-never watering day for my presently-miniature AGs.
I DO have one plant, my 178 from '14 that just got a mini sprinkler over it and will get MG tomorrow...and it is a 'beast' when compared to the other plants because it's been in a Floating Row Cover Gerry Greenhouse for about 1.5 weeks. It went from 'toad to bullfrog' in that time. That was not brought about by any fertilizer method, though - It is because of the FRC greenhouse.
That, plus MG??? SO psyched! eric g

Guess I need to buy more MG. I already have some 10-10-10 in the ground so I didn't want to over do it with the MG. But I'm certainly willing to increase it. Do you keep it the same concentration the entire grow? I'm liking the dry weather we've had. It's a good time to feed some MG I think.

I had typed out a great rant as of 6-13-'24 butt my computer was, unbeknownst to me, downloading updates and when I researched something else to support my statement, it froze and had all kinds of problems, whereby I had to close outta BP. Masterpiece lost. I was researching how much 46-0-0 was used to promote rapid growth in grass or corn.
Anyway, I usually do 1X MG @ the dosage of 1 TBSP/gal. H2O and if I want, I can do 2X, butt ferts are not cheap anymore, so...
1X 24-8-16 MG, 2X per week and no more than 3X per week, in an amount of at least wetting the leaves and slightly more, butt the runoff will supplement the soil anyway;
The next day, I will usually water as much as I can in an amount that I feel will water in & 'enable' the previous day's ferts - perhaps with a 55-gallon barrel of straight H2O.
I have used 10-52-10 and 8-15-36 water-solubles at appropriate times for the plants' needs, butt I am debating the use of specific ferts based upon cost and effectiveness.
As has been said, a soil test to get the soil perfect is advised, followed by, in my opinion, any desired slaps, smacks and/or adjustments based on experienced observations, as fair game. I hope this has helped---eg

The MG I have right now is 18-10-21. I bought more yesterday. I have it mixed up in 250 gal. tote of water and now it's at 60% of the recommended dose. I still need more. :) but doing it the way you are it should last a little while. I have 3 plants to put it on. Your just hose spraying it on - right?

Thus far, I am using a watering jug at 1 gal of 1 Tbsp/gal H2O of MG 24-8-16 each time and am about through with planting anything, lol. FPs not sprouting at all in native soil. What was I thinking? Will do SS mix as starting substrate indoors and outdoors will use as well. Soil was too tight. Later today, will upgrade as many as possible plants to each having a mini-Whizzer sprinkler to allow select light watering to each of about 24 - interspersed with above-mentioned fert/watering randomness...for now---eg---PS---178 Gerry plant still moving right along...Heat wave tomorrow! eg

Gave the GP's a dose of 66% 18-18-21 yesterday, per your method or wetting the leaves good. Washed it off this a.m. with about 50-60 gallons per plant. I have some 24-8-21 on the way to take it up to a full dose of 1.5 Tbsp/gal. We have a heat wave here. I guess you do too. Do you foliar when it's in the 90's?

Probably, if I, myself don't burn up in the process, lol---'Back o' my neck gettin' dirt and gritty...'; I had to get AC stuff for my car to try to get it to work tomorrow and that ate into my time for sprinklers today. Got home, was so tired I only managed one, on the 1215 Young that is at that 'standstill moment' - right before it just tears across the patch! Water, water, water - It's magical stuff. With the ferts, whatever the labels say, but I think it's neat to have anyone doing as I do, lol.
Watch out for dog crap, though, with MY footprint in it.

Garwolf, send Ron Wallace an email to ron@wallacewow.com and ask his professional opinion and inquire why he does not sell Miracle Grow.

He does however, sell other water soluable products that you might want to consider using in your patch.

Garwolf, once you get any otherwise-recommended fertilizers, do as the labels say and not at anything LESS than the label-recommended dosage and frequency. Unless you're a hydroponic grower, 'trickle feeding' your plants is like mixing your beer with water to say you drink twice as much butt don't wanna risk anything. Keep ridin' the ride 'On The Wild Side', within reason, lol---eg
