So my last pumpkin went south but I like the cross and want to plant the seed next year. How do I designate any pumpkin grown from that seed?

Call it the Garwolf est dmg 24 based on measurements when you lost it.

And then thats its pedigree.I think we all pay attention to seed pedigree whether were interested in growing it or what it produces in the Garwolf patch. If you mention your growing a Lowes AG seed, that a good way to get me to click on to the next diary.

Do I need to provide the information to anyone or just note it on next year entry should the seed produce a pumpkin that makes it to a weigh off?

You can add it yourself to the tools.pumpkinfanatic.com site but no one will add it for you and as far as I know the gpc doesnt deal with things that dont make it to a weigh off, except the early tomatoes.

I have added some of mine to the pumpkinfanatic site to help me keep track of my genetics... having grown many smaller ones that did not make it to a weigh off.

It will require a certain format to add the DMG... like the year grown has to be before or after the 'DMG' to link correctly. I forget.

Just put it on your bag of those seeds and include it with any seeds that go out to growers. I saw your pumpkin in your diary-nice cross. If the pumpkin didnt get a hole in it , call it gar est 2024 and drop the dmg for that fruit
