Would love some input here. I have been using a green 70% agricultural shade cloth for my screen house for about 5 years now. I use it just like you would use plastic for a greenhouse. I have struggled with growth in May and June- once the temps go up in July then the plants put the jets on. The 70% shade cloth solved my leaf scorch issues but i cant help but wonder if going down to 50% might be the sweet spot. I live in northern NJ. Any thoughts?? John

Heres' a discussion about it, medium-sized, to get your ball rolling until a few others advise you. PS---I had a thought of a grower not long ago that has shade cloth on strings across the patch in such a way as to drag it outta the way for full sun until it gets to be needed to be actually needed, then dragged into place, like when the sun is nearly overhead.

30 or 40% works great! More than 40 is too much shade.
