Hi - I've been thinking lately (My Boss was once very quick to say "Yeah, right!") Ahem...That the discussions that I, myself
have anywhere in Grower Diary Comments are generally seen by only that person and prolly very few other growers in general, depending on whether or not they are interested in either of the persons involveds' success or general wealth or debt of knowledge. F'rinstance, if the absolute, guaranteed way to grow the next WR ANYthing is spoken of in a Comments section, only, and discussed by those two and maybe a third whom 2 of which never embark on that tactical journey, that's three chances for it and maybe <= one to be utilized.
On the other hand, putting a reference link to that discussion *within an actual Board Post* would reach HUNDREDS of Members over the lifetime of the Website;
Hence, if you have a worthy topic to start a thread with and
it gets even ONE grower's attention in a Diary, or, even NOT, lol, by all means, start a thread about it as well.

There's a large number of growers who could compete at half moon bay... its an egalitarian sport/hobby still.

There are no guaranteed methods that I know of other than good soil, good seed, and good luck... same as its always been.

I'm hoping that you and I are not the only ones whom understand or are at least willing to take

the time to read and respond to each of our BRIGHT, WORTHY ideas!

Either way, Folks, don't *limit your ideas you are talking about to ONE PERSON that may be never be heard* otherwise.

If you know somethings, say somethings - In a Message Board, also. I realize it's only been a day, lol!

Are you referring to any Grower Diary comments in particular?

No, but when I, myself am blathering along about a topic I hold dear or am just-now thinking is a good idea, who knows how many growers are viewing that or are gonna try it, etc. A Grower Diary may not get looked at, whereas I always look at the boards that have New Info, such as Seed Starting and Fertilizing and Watering, ending up on General Discussion; Each facet or division is more and more involving for me to look at, comment on/absorb and such; I *usually* look at Grower Diary Comments and although comments are there and personable, I only occasionally 'Go to Diary' to see what their Messages were all-about. In summation, if it is felt to be worthy of announcing to EVERYone, being in a Grower's Diary only is probably not gonna get as much 'air play', hence my post.
Scream it from the mountain tops;
They'll look upward and say 'Hey, look at those Giant, Freakin' Pumpkins! How did he...'
