Man that sucker was ripe, sweet, juicy and full of seeds, I estimate about 500!
I test germinated My 591 seeds (1370 x 723) and my 385 seeds (801.5 selfed) and 3 out of 3 germinated within 2 day for each!

Tom, I would be willing to say your estimates are way short. Try more like over a 1000 and maybe over 1100. Count them and let me know. Our 3 had over 1100 in each one. I thought like you maybe around 400 to 500 each before I counted them.

Just cut up my 168 pounder and it was one of the best tasting too.Had maybe 1000 seeds in it and will get them dried.It took my wife and I 2 1/2 hours to cut it up and seed it.

850 seeds that looked good, tossed about 75 white ones, yea man that was a great watermelon!
I am hooked on growing these too!
