I have a James 146 and James 157 in my patch. The look about the same as the rest, which this year, is pretty good.

I have about 4- 157 James and about 3 146 james plants in my patch. I had one set on two of the 157 but the one as of today got soft on the blossom end.

Since Dave gave his list, I will give mine.

I currently have
#1 218 White with one melon crossed with 225 White
#2 157 James with one melon crossed with 146 James
#3 146 James with one melon crossed with 225 White
#4 202 White with no dominate melon due to rot
#5 225 White with one melon crossed with 146 James
#6 157 James with one melon crossed with 225 White
#7 172 White with one melon crossed with 202 White
#8 202 White with one melon crossed with 157 James

So Victor, obviously I have been using your melons quite a bit as the plant and the pollinator. They seemed like some of my better starts when the plants went in, so I just went with it.

The rotted melon on #4 had not been put up on boards at the time of rot. Something to do with a week long trip to Canada to catch 20 pound lake trout. Oh well, when hobbies collide.

You have to realize that when I cross a Victor James melon with a White melon, it becomes a James White melon.

Cheers!
James White
