I took me melon and entered it in the Tennessee Valley Fair today.Apparently my scales are off a bit. They weighed it at 97 pounds and that is after it had been sitting a few days. The biggest one already there was only 82 pounds so I may still have a "fair" chance of winning.I'm just glad I'm not competing in the largest pumpkin contest as there was one already there that was 740 pounds.I realize that is modest by todays standards but it looked absolutely huge to me. It has a great round shape to it and is a beautiful orange in color.
