The University of Tennessee here in Knoxville has orange for it's school color and needs a good quarterback for it's football team so if Dave's seed throw big & orange perhaps they would consider trying out for the team!!!

Now if Dave could grow a nice maroon and gold one for the Golden Gophers here in Minnesota, we would be doing great.

Well I grew my roots in Michigan...so Maize & Blue would be cool...and now live in Kentucky...sorta a Louisville fan...so how bout Red & White??? (Wolverines & Cardinals, )!!!
PS...GOB...put a few of them in a sterilized starting mix...keep just damp for a few days & warm, and see if they sprout!
PS...or send me an email wsmpeace@aol.com I can help!!

GO BLUE! I'm from Michigan also! Although been in Gopher country almost 25 years (in June!)! That's what I get for marrying one! Now my daughter goes to Michigan State! Life sure is hard! lol

My first 10 watermelon plants are doing great...already some with 3-4 inch vines! Need to get them outside in a week!

Geeze Dave, I figured you would be setting melons by now. You must be behind schedule a bit.

I have my structure in place, and ready to put the melons in the patch. I am just worried about temps. There will only be 7 plants this year, but I am hoping for the best with them.

Rob,
Did you get my bubble pack?

Mr. Brandon of AZ...your watermelon seeds are being sent to you tomorrow. Good luck!

James(aka MMM) -> In fact, I could have pollinated a watermelon...but it was small....I'm happy with most of plants out in the garden...a few I might just pull and replace...unfortunately one is the 255 Mitchell...due to it getting stunted as it grew too fast.
Hope all is well with your patch.
