It's very early to be talking seed. Most of us won't have any seed ready for next season until the fall. That said, there are many people on this forum who are happy to help out with seed if you will check back after the harvest season.

I know it is early, but this year I had 10 pumpkin seeds with good genetics and not one popped for me.I had to fall back on my own #103 from my first year just to have something in the ground.Hoping they will do well.I am thinking watermelon next year for something different, also they are yummy!I guess I'm just thinking out loud. Thanks for getting back to me.

I would guess that in Oregon you would need to start the plants in the house under lights quite early. You probably need a good foot or two of vine when it goes into the garden.

The reason is that these melons are a very long season plant, and it takes that extra lead time to just get viable seeds for the next year.

Even then, I am having a terrible year with no sun and lots of cold, so if things don't improve, I might not have much to offer in the fall.

But yes, many really good seed lines are always available here for just the cost of a SASBE.
