I have a tips sheet if you are interested. Just send an email to JamesAllenWhite (at) gmail.com that I usually include when sending seeds. I can sent it to you to help.

A lot of the same techniques apply for growing giant melons as it does for pumpkins. Soil prep, space, water, single fruit, etc. There are a few tricks that help a lot to prevent rot.

Just send me an email and I will respond with the tip sheet. It's getting old since most of your fellow growers have been subjected to them already, but they might be handy for new growers.

We grew our first this year and got to 155.5 It was so much fun we are growing again next year from our own. It was pretty easy compared to AG's. But one tip...Watch out for new babies/melons on the plant. They can hide very very well. :)

You aren't kidding. I raised my kids to be cull hounds finding even the smallest pre-pollinated melons to be culled. I remember one year I had 8 plants and went away for a week and a half. When I came back I half filled my pickup truck with culls to feed to the pigs.

Emanuele,

If you send me an email (JamesAllenWhite (at) gmail.com) I will send you the tip sheet. I do have some seeds but at this point, many other people have better recent results.

And I am certainly not going to pick at all on your language skills since you seem to speak at least twice the number of langauges that I can speak.
