I used mycorrhizae last year & my biggest melon was more than twice as big as the one I grew my first year. I think it works.

The best place I have found for about everything you will need is at http://www.extremepumpkinstore.com You just can not beat what Tom has and can do for you. Not just for Giant Pumpkins and Giant Watermelons but everything you need for your regular Garden needs. I tried his garlic spray last year and it worked great. He has the mycorrhizal that the ones who grow the world record pumpkins use.

I get mine from Holland's....we got a discount for the SCGA members...but it was around $6/lb.
