Well not really rain, just continuous spitting, clouded over days that do not exceed 65 degrees. I figured the best way to describe it would be Seattle. My plants look good, but this is not the way to grow garden giants. I just want to see the sun for a few days. Minnesota is indeed a state of extremes.

Wish i could send you some, we don't even drop into the 60's at night now. Finally got some rain, need a few days in the 80's instead of 90's, my pumpkin plant is burning. melons are fine !

Chris is right, we are overwhelmed here in eastern Tennessee with heat and humidity. I think it's going to turn out to be the hottest June on record. Too many coffee grounds in my hills & I'm losing some plants but am still hoping to salvage a good melon or 2 out of the season. The fat lady hasn't sung yet.

dido melon man ,we`ve had rain almost everyday for a month ,and it really sucks!but i`ve only lost one plant ,out of 13 so i`m doing ok,all my 136s look awesome ,and r vineing very well ,219 kent 259 kent are my next best plants ,and the 267 pleasant are doing great ,hope you all the best ,Rob

The spitting part ended. We were deluged in rain yesterday. The plants survived, but I have some 8 to 10 inch trenches in my garden where the water found mole runs. I hate the extremes we have seen. Just give me some sun.

One extreme after another here too. We had 8 days of rain in a row followed by high 90's for a week. The only rain we are getting now comes with storms. It is hard to set fruit as hot as it has been here. I noticed saturday my porch termometer said 98 degrees. I moved it to the patch and the landscaping cloth was 120 degrees. I started setting boxes over them and putting white paper under them. Has helped a few more set.
