Ice Man

Garner, NC

Seems all of a sudden, I am over run with the little boogers. I've sprayed permythrin, liquid 7, permythrin dust with no effect. I got some chemical yesterday thats a soil drench and a folair, and applied both last evening.
What can I do to prevent and kill these guys. Also after having them what can I expect from my plants, is this the end or can I control them. Melons seem to still be gaining, but I have no idea of the damage done.

Ice Man I have had good control with Warrior T or Talstar One, but I was spraying them on giant pumpkins that I was not going to eat. You could look up the main chemical in each of the above and find the agriculture brand and use and see how to do it. Warrior T is an Agriculture chemical, but it is restricted use. You should be able to find something with the same chemical but it will not be as strong at the feed store. Talstar One is a termite spray, you should also be able to find something at the feed store with the same chemical in it to. I can get Talstar one at southern states here.

By "squash bug", I bet you mean those flat grayish things that resemble stink bugs.

Ooh, I hate those little weasels. I found two on a plastic pot yesterday, and didn't take the time to kill them properly. I think I got one of them, but with my luck it was the male. I really messed up, as they were "sharing an intimate moment". Losing track of a male is bad enough. If the female got away it would spell serious trouble.
