Not sure this is the right place to post, but does anyone have a OTT chart that goes higher than 222 inches?

Ok, now I'm just kdding! I have a few that are doing well, but to be honest, the extreme, long and blistering heat wave we had a week or so ago has aged my plants considerable. So who know's what things will be like in 30 days.
I think the Northern growers are having a great year, so Sept. will be a fun time to see what hits the scales!

If the north is going to do it, this would be the year. The weather has been incredible. It's not going to be me, but this is the best mine have ever looked. 2 melons about 60 pounds, and growing very well.

I will be shocked if the record doesn't fall this year !

I have 3 over 175 now. I was ahead of last year, but maybe its the heat since i have not been able to keep my growth rates up to last years pace. Now running a few pounds behind last year. I hope to get it back on the end if my plants stay healthy.

Had some going good but heat may have slowed them down. Hope to keep my stump problems at bay as long as possible. Don't think I'll get the 90 day mark but trying to get as close as I can. I think our northern friends might have the weather they need this year

Mine are still growing, and I haven't taken a tape measure to them yet. I think I will just let them keep growing and see what I get. I can't believe the plants this year. You can't go near the patch without a machete for fear of not coming out alive.

I should take a picture to show you, but I have pretty much no weeds in my patch. I keep my garden pretty clean, so in general it doesn't have a chance to reseed the weeds. I have done this for years.

A friend was in the garden last night and I commented that I have the best plants I have had in years. He hemmed a little until I told him he was looking at just two watermelon plants.

I potentially have a personal best on the hook so I say yes, the record will fall this year. Not gonna be me however.

My plant is so aggressive and full that weeds don't have a chance this year!

MMM, a diary entry from you would be great !

Yes, diary entries would be great. It would also require me to do it, when I could be fertilizing melons, cleaning garden, moving wood, cutting brush, splitting and stacking firewood, mowing...you get the idea. I will see if I can get some pictures on my phone and send them to me. That will at least get it started.

I know the feeling, thats why my yard hasn't been mowed in a month, only the "patch" gets mowed ;)
