How big do the melons have to be before you like to keep the Data on them ?

I would hope it's bigger than a cull. Measuring 10 pound melons just doesn't do anything for me.

Just a little bigger than a cull for me. The plant started turning yellow last week and melon stoped growing.

That's another thing. I only like to record actuals, so I need a finished weight. But based on your stats, I would guess it weighs around 195, but honestly it's all over the chart against my actuals. It could weigh between 130 and 215. Let me know how this one turns out.

I cut it loose and loaded it last night so I could weigh it today at the feed mill today . 186 lbs

Jake Yes I lost the plant It started with squash bugs I tried spray but the weather is so HOT that I hurt the plants to much with the spray .Vines bust open and turn yellow ever thing just stops growing. I tried spraying late at night but still not working.Just to hot to mess with the plants much I think. Lost a good 243 about two weeks ago after I spray Daconil and I spray about 10pm at night.


You did not tell me that the Gourds were like Kudzu vine are ever were . weighted one yesterday 92 lbs

Yeah they get big. Speaking of heat after about three days in a row near 100 I lost my gourd and all canteloupes. Had one going better than last year but lost it. Nice to see you got a good one from those seeds.
