The best Chris could do at Allardt today was 2 second place finishes. His wife,Janet beat him by .9 pound with a melon that weighed 230.1. Chris had a melon of 229.2. I don't think Janet will ever let him live it down. He picked the wrong one.

And the judges picked the wrong one in weighing the pumpkins in order. They picked Chris for 5th place. And they brought up the next one and Chris had it beat. And then he had the next one beaten & also the next one.And so he ended up in 2nd place. I think his weight was around 1067 pounds.The winning pumpkin was 1331.3.

I will post some of the pictures I took in Allardt later today. It was a beautiful day and a good time was had by all I think.

I can't wait to see Chris on the Letterman show on Wednesday.
I'll have to watch from my hospital room as I will be back in chemo therapy. This is gonna be a lot of fun though.
