Trinity River Bottom

My first Melon to get to 90 days .It's not big but it is still growing very slowly .Still solid .Stem and vines both green. There is just not much plant left to push melon. plant is 240 days old today .

I don't think I could have kept one growing up until now, but surprisingly, we have had really good weather. It's 55 and sunny out right now.

How big is the melon now ?? You can grow 2 years worth in 1 down there, whats your weather like ??

yeah i could grow 2 separate crops of melons here but that 1 is own the same plant as my 131 i picked in early august.low of 50 this morning about 72 rite now.the melon is only about 50 lbs. but the plant has nothing left.

you could make a genetic cross melon early and grow it the same season!

i'm going to see how long i can keep it on there . we had a slight frost sunday but it didnt burn any leaves on this plant.good weather the rest of the week for sure.

normally might have our last frost around 1st of march . first killing frost usually not until the end of nov.

78 here sunny today . thursday low around 71 high 85 . light frost last sunday! gotta love texas winters!!
