There's always tons of good pumpkin seeds out there, I'm looking for some watermelon seeds with good genetics? I"m doing 3 plants this year and am searching for that special seed for the 3rd plant. Thanks!

Yes, you can buy from auction sites. That allows you to pick and choose among the genetics. It seems to be the popular thing these days, or you can ask for seeds from many of us with pretty good genetics. It costs you a SASBE and postage. Between package and postage, you are probably looking at around $3.

Hey James, would you happen to have any good brown or red seeded CC seeds? On a whim I'm trying to grow all brown or red seeded this year. I know you will help me if you can so please let me know something.

Side Note: I have red seeds from my 255 Mitchell's if interested and some brown seeds...Even James was shocked at how red they were...they are browning more as the years wear on....however, my 157 Bhaskaran(Brown) did produce the 226.5 lb Peters 10 last year ;-)..probably will grow 2 of these this year.

Thank you so much Dave. The weather is beautiful here. Sorry.I have acquired more seeds via auction & it is going to be very difficult for me to decide which ones to go with. It's going to be fun though. I hope you have a great year. I'll be watching for a musher.

Thanks James, if you think this seed will throw short melons then that isn't what I am looking for. But if you think it might grow a long fat melon then that is what we are all looking for.Anyway, I have in the past few days dropped my idea of growing all red or brown seeded this year, so I would appreciate any seed you are willing to share that you would want to grow for yourself. My address:

James, I can send you a couple of 267 Pleasant seed if you think you'd want to grow them. I have to receive them through the mail first though.

Dennis, if you want either of my genetics I am sending out this year, I will send you some. I went with a short female start on the 149.5, so it's hard to say if it's genetic. It's got that Kent stuff in it so it has potential.

I like the 193 since it was an incredible plant structure. Best I have ever seen in the garden.

I am tempted for the 267, but darn I have more varieties than space at this point, probably 2 to 1, so I will have to make some decision. I start plants for another grower, so I might just use her garden as a test bed for different varieties.

James, the 193 sounds worth growing.I'm kinda like you though in that I'm getting a lot more seed selection than I have hills to plant in. I may try a couple in big pots or something to have more good crosses. So if it's not a lot of trouble I think it would be nice to have.Let me know if you change your mind on the Pleasant seeds. Chris certainly has made some great crosses. I'll be planting more of his seeds than anyone else. So what was the cross on your 193?
