handy, the mill fabric is for under the melon, it prevents mice from eating your prize melon (from underneath the melon), also helps with moving the melon while on the vine , it also helps the melon along when growing the melon slides along the fabric nice and smoothly, most pumpkin growers use it! oh and it will stop the weeds. ,scott
