We have had temps in the 90's here the past few days and my plants are absolutely loving it. And the best part is temps are supposed to be 90 or better for the next 6 days. I think that and the introduction of kelp as a foliar spray has made my plant begin to get respectable looking. Well, after bragging on my plants I guess the next disaster is just around the corner. I am really trying not to do anything else stupid though.

Beeman, have you tried foliar feeding with kelp? It contains a strong growth stimulator and you should notice a big change in just a day or two.

Beeman,I ran out of that product ( I have lots of plants ) and ordered from North American Kelp. The powder is the best product to buy cost wise. For $195 including shipping, you get 25 pounds delivered. That is 400 ounces and since 10 oz makes one gallon of concentrate, you will get 40 gallons of concentrate. It will keep for a few years so use by time shouldn't be a worry. That is a lot, as a little of this stuff will go a long way. I am watering with it also and that is partly why I am using so much. Also, I am using it on a lot of non watermelon plants. My tobacco plants are taking off very nicely from kelp help. And you would not believe the growth I am getting from a fig tree.
