I"m sure probably everybody but me knew this ! At GPC weigh off sites are they useing pumpkin chart to estimate melon weights ? It would be nice to have accurate data to see which melons went heavy and which ones went light to chart.I believe this is usefull info we could use... You can look at all melons weighed at GPC sights they are all way heavy to chart

I think the results would look skewed if they changed and didn't go back and correct the previous entries for this year.I think Chris is thinking correctly in his belief that we may get this changed for next year. I just doubt if the webmaster for the GPC would be willing to go back and correct the results that have already been listed. Perhaps at the end of the weigh offs, one of the founders of the GWG will provide us with a list that uses the watermelon inches chart instead of the pumpkin chart.

Not positive, but thinking this is not true!!! Sorta...we used a melon chart to est weights at BWF!!! The GPC uses the pkn chart to convert to over/under %! Not at awl sites do they do this, or do they post %'s!!! Peace, Wayne
PS...input to GPC are OTT numbers, from melons...they do the conversions! at BWF, we almost nailed it perfect...smallest to largest to the scales!!! Granted, it would be good to have GPC using a melon OTT chart, so over/under ain't so skewed!!! Peace, Wayne
PS...I know the melon chart is available somewhere, and hopefully some one will post a link soonly!!!!

At this point I am curiously confused...GPC uses AG chart to est weight for melons? and when finding the chart for watermelon estimates, it is listed in a GPC file? (maybe just a link, from gpc to the correct file?) (pdf/table)!!!! Granted, I am a computer Idiot, but this don't add up to me? Sounds to me like it should not take till "next year" to correct the prblm!!! & like I said, I am computer Idiot!!! Hopin that it get's corrected soonly!!! Just hopein!!! Peace, Wayne
